        Teeny Tiny Dance Classes

        Teeny Tiny Toes: A fun class focused on dancing, music, movement, playing with other children, and bonding with the caregiver.

        • Tuesdays: 9:30 - 10:00 a.m.
        • Caregiver Participation Required

        Teeny Tiny Dancers: Engaging music is used along with props such as scarves, egg shakers, bean bags etc. This class enables the young dancers to use their imagination, creativity and, most of all, have fun! Children dance in this class on their own.

        • Tuesdays: 10:15 - 11:00 a.m.
        • Caregivers observe the room

        • Teeny Tiny Toes: 18 months - 3 years old
        • Teeny Tiny Dancers: 3-5 years old

        Kids' Cookies & Canvas

        Does your child like to paint and create their own art? Do they enjoy spending time with friends and eating cookies? Then join us for Kids’ Cookies and Canvas! Kids will get to have a variety of cookies and create an art piece on a canvas of their own design. Miss Ploutz will bring all the painting and snack supplies, you bring an apron and ideas. Come join us for a day of art-tastic fun!

        Music & Movement

        Inspired by the Essentrics® program, we will engage, move, and stretch every part of our bodies from our fingertips to our pinky toes!  Come wiggle, giggle, dance, and play with your little one.   Meet new friends and bond with your child.  These classes focus on energy, fun, and play to contribute toward the natural development of cognitive, social, emotional, and physical skills. 

        Led by Karen Feitl, a Certified Level 2 Essentrics Instructor, she is the mother of six (yes, 6!) kids and has over 30 years experience working with young children.

        These very fun and engaging classes are limited to the first 12 families who register.  

        When:

        • Tuesdays - 9:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

        Ages:

        • 18mos -3 year olds and their favorite adults

        • $35 for a 4-class monthly session.

        Fencing

        En Garde! Have you ever wanted to try your hand with a sword? Here's your opportunity with this exciting new program. Students will learn the basics of fencing: footwork, blade work, rules and tactics, as well as participating in fun fencing games. This class is taught by Anthony Joslin, a trainer of the 2013 US Youth National Champion. Rent the necessary protective gear (head piece, chest piece and gloves) for just $20 per session.

        Ages: 6-12

        Thursdays: 6:15 p.m. 

        Ages: 13- Adult

        Thursdays: 7:30 p.m.

        Montessori Beginnings

        Montessori Beginnings is a Montessori playgroup for babies and toddlers from birth through 2 years of age with a caregiver. The group is guided by a certified Montessori teacher in a thoughtfully prepared environment designed to engage the child in discovery. The young children explore the environment, practice self-feeding and pouring with a nutritious snack. Then join parents for circle time that includes singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments. Montessori Beginnings class helps parents see the amazing capabilities of babies and toddlers.

        When:

        • Fridays - 9:45 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

        Ages:

        • Newborn - 2 year olds and their favorite adults

        Tots on the Turf

        Bring your kids to the Auxiliary Turf for open play time to explore lots of different sports, and activities like soccer, basketball, t-ball, and golf!

        Wednesdays:

        9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. & 

        10:15 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.

        Fee: $5.00 per child/per session

        Taekwondo

        Greenwood Parks & Recreation now offers youth and family taekwondo classes. Master An has more than 18 year experience teaching taekwondo. 

        Youth Sessions -- 4 weeks

        Ages: 4-6

        Mondays: 10-10:30 am; 10:45-11:15 am

        Fee: $60 (4-week session)

        April Artists

        Calling all Little Artists! It's time to be creative and create a variety of spring-themed artwork. Children will use different mediums, including water color, papercraft and more, to create fun art pieces. Your child may want to bring a water bottle and an apron with them.

        Toddler Art Classes

        Ages 2-5 years old, limited space. Parental participation required.

        Instructor, Heather Tooley, will have a March them of All About Colors were the toddlers will learn all about the color wheel while mixing and playing with colors.
