Thanks to dedicated fiscal planning and management, Greenwood enjoys a positive financial position.
The city’s Rainy Day Fund and reserves have increased by more than 30 percent from 2012. Every city account is now close to or above a 50 percent reserve, and Standard & Poor’s Rating Services recently increased Greenwood’s credit rating two notches to A+.
In recognition of the 2018 Comprehensive Annual report, Greenwood was awarded its fifth consecutive Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association.
