The Easter Bunny is a busy fellow, but every spring, he always makes time for a stop in Greenwood. The 2017 event takes place on April 8 at 9 a.m.

As Greenwood’s marquee community event, Freedom Festival draws more than 50,000 people to Craig Park every summer to celebrate the American Spirit. Held on the last Saturday in June, the festivities include a parade, local food, beer and craft vendors, and a kids zone. Indiana's best fireworks show concludes the evening.
Nearly every Saturday evening between June and September, hundreds of Greenwood residents, visitors and their families gather with lawn chairs, blankets and snack-filled coolers to enjoy live performances spanning a variety of musical genres. Concerts take place at the Greenwood Amphitheater in Craig Park.
Trail Trek is the annual 5K Walk and Run hosted by Greenwood’s Parks & Recreation Department. The race begins and ends at Craig Park, utilizing the 5K trail that runs along Main Street, to Emerson Avenue and back on Smith Valley Road.
Proceeds from the Trail Trek 5K benefit Greenwood’s 20 miles of trails, ensuring they remain safe, engaging and environmentally friendly.

Why should humans have all the fun? One of Greenwood’s most popular annual events, Puppy POOLooza welcomes our community’s four-legged friends for an end-of-summer pool party at Freedom Springs Aquatic Center.

Greenwood’s newest community festival is a celebration of all things downtown.
Taking place each fall, Rock the Clock features live music, local beer and wine vendors, food trucks and a variety of ways for residents and visitors to connect with Greenwood’s downtown business community in a block-party-like atmosphere.
The event is free, and all ages are welcome. 2017 Rock the Clock takes place on September 23.
Every Halloween, Greenwood trick or treaters don their costumes for a spooktacular celebration. Monster Mash highlights include trick or treating, bounce houses, music, food, a teen space and much more.

Santa Claus is a big fan of Greenwood. Every year, the jolly gift-giver makes time for an appearance. The popular event will be held at Greenwood Middle School and begins with breakfast followed by individual photos with Santa. The event takes place December 10, 2016, and the cost is$5 per person. Children 1 year and under are free.
